Terrasite began working on the groundworks for 60 dwellings in 2019 at the former Tooks Bakery site on Old Norwich Road, Ipswich. These were mixed tenure – including 41 council homes and 19 let privately through Handford Homes. Working for Gipping Construction Ltd, the team completed the roads and sewers in November 2020.
“We have worked with Terrasite on schemes of varying sizes, but notably the 60 unit housing scheme in Ipswich. The scheme had a large cut and fill exercise, piled foundations and adopted roads and sewers, as well as the usual groundworks associated with a housing scheme.
Terrasite acted professionally, their Health and Safety standards are high, with policies which were kept to and regular health and safety visits from their in-house Safety Manager. They have high quality standards with an audit procedure to ensure compliance. They kept to programme and our consultants commented on their performance stating they were one of the best groundworks contractors they work with. We intend to work with Terrasite again in the future.”
